Why Consider an Evaluation for Your Child

A neuropsychological evaluation can provide answers to the questions you have about how to best support your child's individualized needs.

Results provide a roadmap for parents to access the support and resources for their child to enhance academic success, emotional well-being, and overall development.

Why Choose Us

Dr. Devonshire provides expert care with no wait list. Assessments are tailored to meet your child's unique needs. Dr. Devonshire's prior experience teaching allows her to provide more informed recommendations for children's individualized academic plans (IEPs,  504 Plans, private school plans). As a result, parents receive personalized recommendations that outline a clear path forward for their child.

The Process of a Neuropsychological Evaluation

Intake/Clinical Interview

An intake or clinical interview is the first step of the process. During the intake, parents will meet virtually

with Dr. Devonshire to share information about their child's developmental history and specific questions they would like answered as a part of the evaluation.

In-Person Assessment

Children attend one in-person

testing day with Dr. Devonshire that lasts for several hours similar to a school day. During testing, children complete a variety of activities that

will provide measures of learning, memory, language, attention, executive functioning, visuospatial functioning, fine motor skills, mood, personality, behavior, and adaptive functioning.

Results and Feedback

The results of testing and clinical observations are then integrated

with the information obtained during

the intake and record review. A

feedback session with parents is scheduled to discuss the results of

the evaluation and individualized recommendations designed to meet

their child's needs. A comprehensive report will be made available after feedback.
