Dr. Ashley Devonshire is a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in Pediatric Neuropsychology. She works with children and their families to identify areas of strength and areas for growth in order to develop a path forward. Dr. Devonshire's prior experience teaching in the Chicago Public Schools allows her to provide more informed recommendations for children's individualized academic plans (IEPs and 504 Plans). She conducts neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents ages 5 to 15 years of age.
Education and Expertise
Dr. Devonshire earned her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She completed training in neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological assessment in several outpatient hospital settings and a private practice in Chicago. Dr. Devonshire completed her pre-doctoral internship in Health Psychology at Alexandria VA Health System in Louisiana. She then completed her 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology with a specialization in Pediatric Neuropsychology at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, Michigan. While there, Dr. Devonshire conducted neuropsychological evaluations of neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions effecting children and adolescents including epilepsy, concussion/Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), genetic disorders, cancer, intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH), ADHD, ODD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental and learning disabilities, and congenital conditions that impact cognitive development and function. Her research interests include the early identification of ASD and the impact of early childhood trauma on the developing brain. Dr. Devonshire also has a master’s degree in elementary education (MEd) from DePaul University. She taught preschool and kindergarten in the Chicago Public School System as well as at a private Montessori school.

In her free time, Dr. Devonshire enjoys taking her dog to the beach, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
